Fancy Fold Happiest Birthday

Came across this folded card on Pinterest and just had to try it myself!  It was easy enough that we did it for Therapy Card Nite and the girls loved it!!!  Now that I know how to do this type of folded card I will be doing others...(already have one in mind for June's card class to keep in touch)
I did change up the colors a bit for this card and although it looks complicated it really is not.  We used markers to color in the image after stamping it in staz on so it would not smear/bleed when we colored.  Yes, that is some old retired SU ribbon...  ;)

Diploma Congratulations

Here is another one of Therapy Card Nite's graduation cards.  With this card I did have different colors (blue, red, green, purple) for them to choose from according to the schools in the area.  The girls all enjoyed getting to make a card according to specific school colors.  This card was a great hit!

Mother's Day Kindness

I have to say that I love this color combo!  This is another Mother's Day card that we made at Therapy Card Nite last month and I think this rates as one of my favorites.  Although this set was a Sale-a-Bration set I really like it and will use it for years to come.  This is one of our photopolymer sets.  This card uses So Saffron, Calypso Coral, and Wild Wasabi.  These colors were made to go together!

Mother's Day Flower Pot

This card is a rendition of one I have made at Therapy Card Nite a few years ago.  It is a CASE of someone, but I can't remember who.  With this card I did use some washi tape to design the flower pot and I used our retired Buttons set to make the center of the flowers.  When you pull up the flowers there is a card attached that says Happy Mother's Day.

Graduation Cap

May is a busy month for most.  Especially if you have kids or know of kids that are graduating.  In case you don't have any this year, it is good to have some neutral cards made up just in case!  We made this one up for last months Therapy Card Nite.  I kept this one as a neutral one so it could be pulled out and used at any time.

Wedded Hearts

It's that time of year when weddings are in full swing and my family is no exception.  My youngest brother will be tying the knot this summer.  I have loved these wedded hearts that I have been coming across lately and since everyone has their own special colors I decided to stick with black, gray, and white when making this card.  I really like how the embossed edge gives it that elegant look too!

Basic Black CS, Slate Gray CS, White CS, Heart Punch (retired), Tulip Edge embossing folder (retired), Sassy Salutations Stamp Set, Basic Pearls, Black Grosgrain, Glue Dots.

St Augustine Pirate

Quintin loves pirates, especially Pirates of the Carribbean!  So it was only fitting that he got his picture taken with this pirate statue we came across while walking the shops in St Augustine.  This was also the year that we went to the new Pirate Treasure Museum.  I used one of the maps from there in the back ground because it was so fitting.

Sharing in your Sorrow

I am on a bit of a kick with the owl punch lately.  Any way that I have seen the punch used I have had to make a card with it.  I think my Therapy Card Nite girls are enjoying all the uses of the punch too!  With the Easter season that just passed I felt this was a fitting card for last months card night.

Inspired by Nature Stamp Set, Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set, Soft Sky CS, Elegant Eggplant CS, Garden Green CS, Garden Green Ink, So Saffron Ink, Basic Black Ink, Owl Builder Punch, Bird Builder Punch

Cross on a Hill

HAPPY EASTER!
What is Easter really without the cross and empty grave?  One of my favorite movies is the Passion by Mel Gibson.  To think that my Savior came and died a horrific death and rose again just because He loved us and wanted to save us is beyond comprehension.  As such this is a fitting card for this season.  The three crosses on a hill along with a purple ribbon hanging from the middle one.

So Saffron CS, Wild Wasabi CS, White CS, Chocolate Chip Ink, Elegant Eggplant Ink, Strength and Refuge Stamp Set (retired), Four Frames Stamp Set, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Decorative Label Punch, Satin Purple Ribbon.

Hard to believe it's almost Easter!  This year is going by so fast.  I remember while growing up I was always told the older you get the faster time goes and it is so true!!!

Fernandina Beach Scrap Page

Love this picture of my son, Quintin, walking down along Fernandina Beach while we were shark tooth hunting.  This is one of my favorite beaches to go to when I go down to visit Jacksonville, Florida.
I found these shell stickers while I was down there and thought they went perfect with this page.

Happy Birthday Dots

Still using up some old DSP and this card is no exception!  Although I can't remember what pack this is from.  Really liked that it coordinates so well with this cupcake card!  This is another one of the cards that was part of my "Going Green Therapy Card Nite" last month.

Retired DSP (?), Cup Cake Punch, Sassy Salutations, Pear Pizzazz CS, Not Quite Navy (reitired) CS, White CS, Pear Pizzazz ink.

"Late" Happy St Patrick's Day

Yes, this is a few days late, but better late than never!  These were suppose to be a couple of the cards for last month Therapy Card Nite's that ended up being canceled.  They are simple but fun...

This St Patty's Day card uses the retired heart punch, the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Large Oval (for the stem), Modern Label punch, Garden Green, and Pear Pizzazz.  (somehow I dripped a drop of Garden Green ink on this card)

I seen a similar card on pinterest and used what I had to copy it.  Think it came out pretty good.  Granted I used mostly retired items.  Big Deal Alphabet, heart from the Owl Punch, Fringe Scissors, Old Olive grosgrain, brad, Early Espresso Card Stock,  Crumb Cake CS, Old Olive CS, Early Espresso ink.

Easter Surprise Stamp Camp 2015

I so love the new Berry Basket that came out in SU's new Occasions Mini!  Imagine the possibilities!!!  Look here, I have it done up as an Easter Basket along with a Sour Cream Container Carrot and a Cadbury Egg Holder that I found on a blog over a year ago (I am sorry I don't remember the girls name).  At any rate this is my Easter Stamp Camp for this year.  I am looking forward to sharing this with my girls!  It is going to be so much fun....

Audrey 4 Heather

I love Audrey Hepburn!  So when I came across this stamp from Stampingbella I couldn't not resist!  Especially since it was on sale on my birthday...Happy Birthday to me.  Could you believe that she sat without being inked for almost 3 weeks!!!  I went down to visit my Gma for her 90th birthday this year (as I do every year for her bday) and since I stayed with my cousin for a few days since extra family was down, I came home and made her up this card as a "Thank You".  I wanted to keep it simple and elegant like Audrey.  I do think the combination of black, craft, and vanilla met that!  The rest of the saying is on the inside of the card.  I really like this stamp and promise it will be used often!!!

Valentine's Day Kisses

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card!  Saw a sample of this on, you guessed it, Pinterest! (Don't go there you will be forever lost in all the stuff there!)  So I played around a bit and was able to make one of my own with what I had!  Was so excited!!!  And YES, the chevron makes for an eyecatching play!  Believe me, I measured and remeasured to make sure one end wasn't shorter than the other for every piece I cut!  Glad I wasn't the only one who had a time with this play on your eye piece!  The girls also had a hard time believing that the ribbon wasn't cut wrong too!  Overall, this card was a pretty big hit and was by far my favorite card of the month!

Simple Red Valentine's Day

For those of you who know me, I like to recycle stuff!  Makes me especially excited when I can do that with cards and scrapbooks like in this card!  Look close do you see it?  Yes, it is the red design behind the punched out hearts!  Would you believe it is the belly band for Christmas PJ's?!  Know it's hard to tell, but the design on it is actually snowflakes.  This is a pretty simple, got the idea from another card, card!  LOL  Sometimes it's the simple things in life!!!

Envelope of Love

Who does not love an envelope full of surprises?  Especially if it's full of love like this one!  Once again was seeing envelopes with hearts coming out similar to this and decided it was time to blow the dust of my envelope die and put it to use!  (Will be using it in a few more projects coming up)  Not only that, but I used some more retired DSP and the BG french script (one of my favs)!  Stayed with greys and blacks and used the reds/pinks from DSP for the pop of color!!!

Sweet Friend Flower

I just had to use up the last of my heart treat cups so I came up with a cute simple card.  For the one with the cups I got a bag of candy hearts to fill them with and the other card as the second choice I left as a simple yellow flower stamped with Melon Mambo.  I used Scallop Trim Boarder Punch along one side and placed a strip of Melon Mambo behind it to make it stand out.  I stamped Sweet Friend with Melon Mambo on Melon Mambo and punched it out with the Modern Label punch.

Falling Hearts

I came across some falling butterflies and falling hearts while looking on Pinterest and figured I needed to come up with a card of my own with this technique.  So with Valentines Day just around the corner I had to put my heart punch to use.  I really love the color combination of Tempting Turquoise, Blushing Bride, and Real Red.  I pulled out an old favorite, Soft Swirls background, and did some heat embossing for a little bit of a WOW factor.

Night Cardinal

The girls so enjoyed this technique last year that I did another card with it this year!  I even used one of  the same trees from last year.  I saw how someone made different birds with the bird punch so I thought the winter cardinal would be perfect!  I also used iridescent ice from SU to give it the shimmery back ground.  Although the pictures do not do it justice.  I made two different ones, a Christmas one and a layered Thinking of you.  I almost like the layered better makes it pop more in real life.  Hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!

Present Elf

Here is my little hard working elf delivering a present just for you!  He is another one I saw alot of on Pinterest.  (Can you tell I like Pinterest?)
Everyone got to make their card a bit different just by the "present" they picked for him to give.  I like cards like this due to the fact the girls get to make it a bit more of their own style of card.
Hope he was able to get you a special present...

My Little Olaf

I seen so many OLAF's on Pinterest that I just had to try my hand at him!  As I looked at what others used to make him, I realized I should of been on this way sooner!!!   After going through what I did have and playing around a bit I was able to make one!  I must say though, for the Christmas Therapy Card Nite I did A LOT of prep work for this!!!  But it was worth it because all the girls loved him!  This card used the circles die, snowflake thinlits die, oval punch, word window punch, circle punches, and the small oval die.  Oh yeah and an embossing folder!!!  Now if there was a stamp that said "Some people are worth melting for!"  I'm sure there is somewhere...

Santa's Sleigh

As I searched Pinterest for ideas I came across this "sled" and just had to make one with Santa.  I used the Santa, from the Jolly Old Saint Nick set, loading his sleigh for deliveries with the saying from Santa's List to complete the card.  Think it came out pretty good!
Hope Santa found everyone on the good list this past year!

Happy Holiday Penguins

I can hardly believe we are in a NEW YEAR already!!!  I mean, I can due to the fact that at work I have been working January 2015 schedules since before Christmas.  Still this past year has flown by!!!  I don't know about you, but I have had one super busy, crazy holiday season this year.  I think I met myself coming and going and it just did not seem like Christmas this year.  Sad really because it is my favorite season, but was happy to have it over this year.

Any way, here is one of the Christmas cards we did for my Christmas Therapy Card Nite.  I know they are way late, but better late than never....

Today's card is my Happy Holiday Penguins.  Got this idea off of Pinterest and really do not remember who exactly because I seen a few very similar ones and I did it off memory.  For the most part I have to say that I have used this owl punch in almost everyway I've seen used now!  I must say that I love it!  So glad I broke down and bought it.  Really like the hills topped with glittery snow and "snow" falling.  These cuties just make you want to go out and play in the snow!!!
