Epic Day This and That 2014 Florida Journal...

On this year's trip down for Grandma's birthday I took the Epic Day This and That Journal for my Aunt to make and keep as a mini scrapbook of our time together.  We took lots of pictures and I showed her how to download them at Walgreens.  I let her decorate the journal and put all the pictures in just so she could see how easy it really was to scrapbook.  She had alot of fun decorating it.  Although she did leave most of the journaling for me to write out for her...it's ok the point was for her to have fun!!!   So here is her (our) journal...

The outside she wanted to cover and we used the This and That band wrapper as part of the it along with the year.  (In with the design stickers) And she had me stamp Awesome Memories with the Rotary Stamp.

This page is just pictures of my long extended and rerouted flight down due to the snowstorm that struck during the night I left.

Here is Grandma's "Carrot Birthday Cake" they gave her at the restaurant we went to after church.  She is such a blessing in my life.  I am glad I such a great husband who lets me go visit her every year for her birthday.  Can you believe she is 89!!!

Atleast one day is an "our day" for Auntie Shawn and I.  This time it was the one day she had off for the week!  So we decided to go a road trip down to Daytona...

we stopped just shy of Daytona Beach and hit Ormand Beach instead!

This was our view for our lunch which by the way was delicious.  Lobster bites were to die for!!!

And of course what trip isn't complete with out some shopping!!!

 My Auntie Shawn and I...

And for the closing pages of the scrapbook we came across this post card that we cut in half which shows exactly what I went home to!!!  LOL

Overall, I am really impressed with this journal and plan on getting another one...

Easter Stamp Camp

Here is a sneak peak at my upcoming Easter Stamp Camp.

Cadbury Egg holder, Mini Easter Basket, Sucker Flower Pots

The sucker flower pots idea came from my friend and fellow SU demo, Jamie Hurley.  They are done up in 2 different sizes.  Sorry it is so hard to see the sucker from this side view.  Thought the picture came out better than that.

This mini Easter Egg basket idea came from Vicky H.  It was just so cute I had to make one!  I do have some big malted eggs in here, but you could use smaller ones or even jelly beans!

The Cadbury Egg holder I found on Sandi MacIver's blog!  This was just such a neat idea and who doesn't love Cadbury Eggs!!!

New Jeep

Here is the latest scrapbook page I've done.  Last April, Quintin  scrapped his truck and bought a jeep.  This is his proud moment at the dealership after papers were signed and it became officially his.

I used kraft cardstock as my base and then pulled Tempting Turquoise to bring out the turquoise in his shirt.  I then used Creative License Simply Scrappin Kit from SU! and Stampology's License Plate stamp set along with SU!'s Clockworks in the background.  I more of a simple girl when it comes to scrapbooking, especially the guy pages.

Butterfly Happiness

Really was sad about having to cancel last months Therapy Card Nite, but with a flooded basement I didn't have much of a choice.  Thank goodness it is finally over.  Now it's just a matter of a new summer project to hopefully fix the spot where the water drained to by the house.

Any way, I was able to use this card for this month's "All Things New" Therapy Card Nite.  I used the faux silk technique, well one of them any way.  This is one with the dryer sheet.  We stamped the butterfly and used chalk to color it in.  I do have to say that I love easy WOW cards.  Was so glad I could carry it over.  I ended up carrying over another card for this months Card Nite also.  So be sure to stop back in to see what it was.

Happy St Patrick's Day...

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!   Hope you remember to wear your green....Although with a bit of research the original color was blue.  It was changed to green over the years due to the landscape of Ireland and the shamrock being green.  They would pick shamrocks and put them in their lapels as wearing of green.  From songs and what not they have made it the color of the day.  Hmmmm...learn something new everyday!

So here is the Shamrock Card of the day.  This was to be one of the cards for Therapy Card Nite last month, but due to a flooded basement it ended up being cancelled.  So here you are girls, a sneak at one of the cards you missed!  But don't be sad, we are still using the shaving cream background for one of the cards this month along with 2 cards that I am carrying over this month.  I will be using the other 2 cards in the months coming up.

I did this card with the shaving cream background and then punching out 4 Garden Green hearts and 4 green Woodland Walk DSP hearts to overlay.  Used the Happy St Patrick's Day saying from Teeny Tiny Wishes punched out with Word Window and Modern Label Punches.

Yellow Bug

I realize this post is a day late, but I have been busy the past couple of weeks with a flooded basement and painting my bedroom.  Thankfully nothing was really ruined and the basement finally dried out and the painting got done as planned and the house is finally clean again.  Only thing left is to replace all the hardware in the bedroom and decorate...

I came across this last fall and I can't remember who I cased this from, but I thought this was so cute I couldn't not CASE this!!!  I ended up doing this for one of  my Therapy Card Nites and it was a BIG hit!!!  I was told after the fact that I have my hood upside down...LOL   Did anyone else catch it?  This is so cute that I am sure that we will do another one sometime...

The next card will be posted late on purpose  for St Patrick's Day!  So don't forget to check in on Monday March 17...

Happy Birthday Bike

Here's a fun "Yellow and Gold" birthday card made from Cycle Celebration that we made a while back.  I layered the bike, that is cut out from the Labels Collection and sponged with black, onto Modern Melody DSP.   The Happy Birthday to You corners are punched from the retired notched corners punch and to top it off I tied a piece of ribbon down the side.  Hope you like it...

Throw Back Birthday

Hard to believe I've been a demonstrator for 10 years now!  Lately I've been going through my boxes of old cards that I've kept over the years.  Hard to believe how many I actually have....  This is a CASE of an OLD card!!!  I forgot how much I like the look of layering without really layering!!!  This is a total throwback in not only the card but also the stamps used.   Enjoy...

Red Thanks/Snow Card

Ok, the last of the snow cards because as much as I do love the snow, I am ready for a break!   But atleast with this card I did give the girls an option...
I did case the main idea from someone (sorry I don't remember who).  Taking White CS I cut it into strips and laid it inside the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder and then laid those down on Crumb Cake CS.  Stamped "Snow or Thanks" with Cherry Cobbler along the bottom and tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler  polkadot grosgrain ribbon near the bottom of the snowflakes.  Added some pearls for a bit of a WOW factor to set the card off and layered that onto Cherry Cobbler.  Hope you like it, even if you are getting tired of all this snow....
