Preston's 13!!!

My nephew Preston is turning 13 today!  I can remember the day he was born and it's hard to believe he's already this old!!!   He has become a great young man who loves sports, especially wrestling.  He has made districts, state, and to nationals.  In fact he is off at a meet today...   He wants to go to Iowa State to wrestle as of now.  So I did his card up in Iowa State colors with a bit of a grunge look to it.  Although the background stamps are current, I did use some older number sets to make the 13.  Here's to hoping he has a great day!!!

Took this idea for this card from a gift bag I got from my Secret Sister this past fall.  Can't tell you how much I love using the Big Shot and this card is ALL about the Big Shot!!!  From embossing to the die cuts you can't go wrong here!  And the fall season is all about being thankful!!!

Oh HAPPY DAY!

Was on splitcoaststampers a few weeks back and a "Boxed Card" was a featured tutorial that I just fell in love with.  So I made one up myself for a girl at work and it turned out great!  Had so much fun in fact that I am having a Stamp Camp featuring one of these kind of cards!  It folds down and fits into an envelope that you can make with Stampin' Up's Envelope Maker!!!  With this card I learned you need to make all the pop-up wow stuff in size with this card or the envelope won't work!!!  LOL

Ninja Turtle Invites

I made a few invitation cards for a special birthday boy  this past fall.  This isn't my idea sorry to say and I don't remember who's idea it was.  I thought it was cute and it matched his theme.  I did add a bit of my own touch to it.  I also decorated the envelopes to match each card.  From what I heard he loved them, he really loved them!!!

Missing You Mouse....

So lately I have been going through my boxes and boxes of cards that I have made and gotten from swaps over the years to try to use them up when I came across this one.  OMG!!!  This is one of the cards I made when I first started stamping!  I could not believe I still have it.  I have gotten rid of the set (which I am sad about) so with out going thru the old catalogs I can't remember the name of the set.  I do know the "missing you" is not an SU stamp.  This is definitely a KISS (keep it short and simple) card!

Loving this Happy Day set!!!  It has 4 different sayings and who does not love sayings?  This I kept pretty simple with minimal supplies and just a bit of WOW!!!

Celebration Candles

Who doesn't love birthday cakes?  Made this up for Therapy Card Nite's birthday card.  Love the candles from Cycle Celebration along with "it's time for a celebration" from Make a Wish.  Think this came out pretty good.  Used the glitter glue for the flames to give it a little sparkle!
