Happy Late Easter!!!!

Happy late Easter!!!  I would apologize for the late post but I had a busy last couple of weeks and for good reason.  Our church put on an Easter egg hunt for disabled children this year!   It was a last minute thing, but God's hand was in it and many children were blessed!  We had one for those in wheelchairs with magnetic eggs, one for autistic kids, one for visually impaired with beeping eggs, and a general for the all others and siblings.  It was a great time by all who helped and participated.  For most it was their first egg hunt ever! 

With all that going on, I missed putting up the Easter cards made last month along with the extra gift from the Easter Stamp Camp that I held.  So better late than never, but here goes...

This was the extra gift I had the girls make during the Stamp Camp.  I can't remember who's this is as I found it on pintrest.  I really need to start writing  down names.  I just never know what I will end up doing for sure.  See lots that I like, but takes me a bit to decide what I end up making...

Here is one of the cards that we did do.  I can say I did copy the basket from someone.  Since I missed last months card nite due to a flooded basement I carried over the shaving cream technique.  I thought it went well as our Easter eggs!  The girls really liked it.

So sad to see this years Sale-a-Bration come to an end because I loved alot of what was in it!!!  Such as the See Ya Later stamp set that I used here on the card along with the Sweet Sorbet DSP and Small Banner Punch!!!  (used as the suns rays)  I added a bit of Rhinestone bling on the sun and a strip of ribbon to top it off....

Peachy Keen...

So I cased this cute card layout from my good friend, Jamie Hurley.  I loved the bow that is made from the envelope punch board!!!  So I tried it out, and guess what?  It is easy peasy...   As I have recently found out there are many things you can make besides envelopes from this awesome little board!!!  

I used the Peachy Keen stamp from Peach Keen set from the Occasions Mini that is out along with Sweet Sorbet DSP from Sale-a-Bration.  Once the bow was complete I added a bit of bling with our Rhinestone Jewels.   

Studly

Here is a picture of my youngest son, Quintin, looking quite "Studly" for his senior Vise Versa dance.  This really captures how he likes to dress up.  Except for the tie, although once in a while he does wear one.  He has always liked to dress up a bit and adding shades just put his whole look together.  Oh don't worry, I did get other pictures, just this one by himself...he just looks STUDLY!!!

For this page I used Twitterpated DSP, Wild Wasabi, Perfect Plum, and Basic Black card stock, Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Lovely Lilac ribbons, daisyd's cardstock stickers, and George and Basic Shapes on the Cricut.  I know it's hard to see, but I pulled the colors from his corsage. 

You Make the World ~ Hexagon Hive

Here is a card that I did for a workshop.  I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit with the colors, but I can say that I really liked how it turned out!  Most of this has come right from the Celebrate the Everyday and the Sale~A~Bration Catalogs!   Can honestly say that this time around there was quite a few things I did like!!!

For this card I used Crisp Cantaloupe for my base, then I used a sheet from Sweet Sorbet DSP (SAB), then topped it off with Pool Party cut out with the Hexagon Hive Thinlit Die (Celebrate the Everyday Mini).  I stamped "You make the World a better Place" from Starburst Sayings Set (C the E Mini) with Basic Black onto Crisp Canaloupe and cut it out with the coordinating Starburst Framelits Die (also from C the E Mini) and placed that over the Basic Black grosgrain ribbon.  

Really like the effect this Hive has when placed over DSP!!!

Epic Day This and That 2014 Florida Journal...

On this year's trip down for Grandma's birthday I took the Epic Day This and That Journal for my Aunt to make and keep as a mini scrapbook of our time together.  We took lots of pictures and I showed her how to download them at Walgreens.  I let her decorate the journal and put all the pictures in just so she could see how easy it really was to scrapbook.  She had alot of fun decorating it.  Although she did leave most of the journaling for me to write out for her...it's ok the point was for her to have fun!!!   So here is her (our) journal...

The outside she wanted to cover and we used the This and That band wrapper as part of the it along with the year.  (In with the design stickers) And she had me stamp Awesome Memories with the Rotary Stamp.

This page is just pictures of my long extended and rerouted flight down due to the snowstorm that struck during the night I left.

Here is Grandma's "Carrot Birthday Cake" they gave her at the restaurant we went to after church.  She is such a blessing in my life.  I am glad I such a great husband who lets me go visit her every year for her birthday.  Can you believe she is 89!!!

Atleast one day is an "our day" for Auntie Shawn and I.  This time it was the one day she had off for the week!  So we decided to go a road trip down to Daytona...

we stopped just shy of Daytona Beach and hit Ormand Beach instead! 

 This was our view for our lunch which by the way was delicious.  Lobster bites were to die for!!!

And of course what trip isn't complete with out some shopping!!!

And for the closing pages of the scrapbook we came across this post card that we cut in half which shows exactly what I went home to!!!  LOL

Overall, I am really impressed with this journal and plan on getting another one...

Easter Stamp Camp

Cadbury Egg holder, Mini Easter Basket, Sucker Flower Pots

The sucker flower pots idea came from my friend and fellow SU demo, Jamie Hurley.  They are done up in 2 different sizes.  Sorry it is so hard to see the sucker from this side view.  Thought the picture came out better than that.

This mini Easter Egg basket idea came from Vicky H.  It was just so cute I had to make one!  I do have some big malted eggs in here, but you could use smaller ones or even jelly beans!

The Cadbury Egg holder I found on Sandi MacIver's blog!  This was just such a neat idea and who doesn't love Cadbury Eggs!!!
